Extra-Curricular Activities

Upper School:
Bringing their business dreams to reality, the Entrepreneur Cup competition helps students learn the basics of a business plan. While developing their own ideas, students attend workshops to enhance their entrepreneurial skills. It all culminates with a final oral presentation before a panel of judges from the Cleveland business community. Click on the links below to view videos of the Final Entrepreneur Cup presentations.

The Student Investment Committee, a select group of students, manages a portion of University School’s investment portfolio.

Last year, more than 150 students participated in EconomicsAmerica-sponsored Stock Market Challenge in the fall and spring. Two US teams placed second and third in the region, competing against more than 450 teams from area high schools.

The Middle School Entrepreneur Club (EClub)
is an after school activity for US middle school students interested in business. Students participate in a series of workshops in February and March to learn, through fun activities, about the fundamentals of business. As the culminating activity for EClub students, a competition is held in April at The Youth Entreprenuership Fair. Students develop an idea for a product, which they purchase or produce, and then sell. Prizes are awarded to the students who generate the most profit.
