Veale Youth Entrepreneurship Forum

The Veale Foundation has awarded grants to eight Greater Cleveland private high schools as part of its new initiative, The Veale Youth Entrepreneurship Forum. Greg Malkin, founder and director of University School’s Entrepreneurship Institute, has been selected by the foundation to lead the Forum.

With this effort, The Veale Foundation hopes to inspire budding entrepreneurs through exceptional educational opportunities. Participating in the initiative are Beaumont High School, Benedictine High School, Gilmour Academy, Hathaway Brown School, Laurel School, Magnificat High School, Saint Ignatius High School, and University School.

Each of the participating Forum schools will develop entrepreneurial activities with the assistance of Mr. Malkin. Teachers will attend bi-annual Forum meetings to network and share their classroom experiences with the other educators. In addition, each school will include a business plan competition for its students as part of its curriculum. The winner from each school will participate in a regional competition sponsored by TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs), the winner of which will compete in the TYE (TiE Youth Entrepreneurs) Global Competition.

The Veale Foundation is a privately funded philanthropic foundation that provides financial assistance to a variety of sectors, with an emphasis on engineering, entrepreneurship, and higher education. Local entrepreneur Tinkham Veale II is the foundation's founder and president.
