US Man of the Year

Donald C. Molten Jr., University School's Associate Headmaster, is the recipient of the 2015 University School Alumni Graduate Award. Molten received the award for his devotion and service to the school and to the community at the annual alumni association dinner tonight at the Shaker Heights Campus. The event kicks off US's alumni reunion weekend celebrating the school's 125th anniversary.

Prior to joining US as Director of Advancement in 2004, which quickly led to his appointment as Assistant and then Associate Headmaster, Molten enjoyed a long career as a business executive. He served as Vice President of Key Equity Partners, Investment Officer at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company, and most recently, Managing Director and Partner at Linsalata Capital Partners.

A member of University School's class of 1975, Molten received his BA in Economics from Denison University and his MBA in Finance from Indiana University. Yet it was his lifelong ties to US that brought him home to devote so much of his time and energy to serving the US community.

A well-respected community leader and philanthropist, Molten serves on four corporate boards and has done considerable charitable and philanthropic work for United Way, Junior Achievement, Family Promise, and Denison University. He has been an active member of the US Alumni Association, assisting with fundraising efforts and serving as chairman of the Annual Fund. Molten also serves as president of the Endowment Board for the First Congregational Church of Hudson, Ohio.
