The Power of Pottery

Art does have a purpose, as US eighth graders are proving with the creation of ceramic empty bowls to benefit the Cleveland Food Bank. The bowls will be sold at a special event on Thursday, January 21, from 6-7 p.m. in the chapel at the Shaker Campus.

"The empty bowl serves as a reminder that there are people in our community whose bowls are empty all year long," said art teacher Brooke Littman who is leading the initiative. "The event is designed to show our emerging adults that what they do in school matters. A thirteen year old is capable of affecting social change through the work done in the classroom."

Please join us at this special event to help those in need. All are welcome.
