Entrepreneur of the Year

Greg Malkin, Director of University School's Young Entrepreneur Institute, is a finalist in the 2016 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Northeast Ohio Competition.

Malkin is one of 26 entrepreneurs honored for his achievements in inspiring others with innovation, vision and leadership. This is the second time Malkin has been honored in this competition. In 1994, he was named a finalist as the founder of Technical Software, Inc., a computer software and services company based in Cleveland.

Regional winners will be announced on Thursday, June 9, at 7:00 p.m., at a dinner and awards ceremony at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland. Awards will be presented to one entrepreneur from 11 different categories, including education, distribution and manufacturing, family business, financial services, and technology.

The panel of judges includes entrepreneurs and leaders from academia, business and the media. Two of the judges have connections with University School: Dan T. Moore III, a US alumnus, is Chairman and CEO of Dan T. Moore Company, and Brad Sacks, a US parent, is CEO of More Than Gourmet.

This is the 30th year the Ernst & Young award program will be celebrating the entrepreneurial achievements of the best and brightest men and women in business.
