Information Technology
The school’s Information Technology Department is comprised of teaching and non-teaching faculty and staff. The objective of the IT Department is to advance the education of information systems for faculty, staff, and students. We determine the needs and desires of our constituencies with regard to curriculum, communication and professional development. We conduct reasearch and development activities related to emerging technologies with an emphasis on the Internet, hardware and software. Users reap the benefits of the US Network, US email, SMART Boards, and the Microsoft Office and Adobe Master education licenses. Faculty and students have access to projectors, document cameras, digital video cameras, color printers and scanners. These technologies are used by skilled teachers to improve and enhance delivery of their instruction. Creative students use technology to give evidence of their learning. In balance, traditional curriculum and the wise use of technology-rich instruction strengthen and support each other.

University School’s website technology contains a learning and content management system (LMS/CMS,) giving teachers, administrators, and staff greater accessibility to parents, alumni, prospective families and friends of the school. All US constituencies are part of the US community through the School Portal and website pages designed exclusively for them.
