Available space in the school is limited. We recommend that interested families call as early as possible in the preceding academic year to begin the admission process. If this is your first contact with University School, please click here to complete the online inquiry form: 

To begin the application process, create an online account by visiting  Once you initiate the process, you can review and update the application as many times as you wish before submitting it to us.

Schedule a visit for your son, a tour of the campus, and a parent meeting with Director of Admission Christina Townsend-Hartz. The student visit will include a classroom visit and an academic assessment.  Please email Gina Wiandt or call 216.371.6806 to schedule an appointment.

Deadline:  Monday, February 11, 2019
  1. SCHOOL & TRANSCRIPT REQUEST FORM: Fill out the "Authorization for Release of Records" portion of the "School Report Form."  Your son’s school will complete the form and mail it directly to University School.  
  2. TEACHER RECOMMENDATION FORM: Parents should submit the form to their son’s current teacher. The teacher will complete the form and mail it directly to University School.

Financial aid awards at University School are based on need.  Our budget is finite, so it is important to apply as soon as possible.  Apply online at
