Available space in the school is limited. We recommend that interested families call as early as possible in the preceding academic year to begin the admission process. If this is your first contact with University School, please click here to complete the online inquiry form: 

ONLINE APPLICATION
To begin the application process, create an online account by visiting www.us.edu/apply. Once you initiate the process, you can review and update the application as many times as you wish before submitting it to us. 

STUDENT VISIT & PARENT MEETING
Schedule a visit for your son, a tour of the campus, and a parent meeting with Director of Admission Meagan Salata for grade 4 or Director of Admission Eric Hutchinson for grade 5. Please email Gina Wiandt at gwiandt@us.edu or call 216.371.6806 to schedule an appointment.

INDEPENDENT SCHOOL ENTRANCE EXAM (ISEE)
To register for the ISEE, go to www.iseetest.org.  Online registration closes three weeks prior to the test date. All tests are on Saturdays from 8:15 am to 12 noon. Please make sure you indicate that test scores should be sent to University School by using our school code: 361415.

FILE APPLICATION MATERIALS

  1. STUDENT QUESTIONNAIRE:  The student applicant should complete the form after the school visit.  This form can be found at www.us.edu/applicantquestionnaire
  2. SCHOOL & TRANSCRIPT REQUEST FORM: Fill out the "Authorization for Release of Records" portion of the "School Report Form."  Your son’s school will complete the form and mail it directly to University School.  
  3. TEACHER RECOMMENDATION FORM: Parents should submit the form to their son’s current teacher. The teacher will complete the form and mail it directly to University School.  

FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION 


Financial aid awards at University School are based on need.  Our budget is finite, so it is important to apply as soon as possible.  Apply online at sss.nais.org/parents
