Reunion Weekend - US Mini Courses

Continental Breakfast and Course Offerings: Be a US Student Again!

Grab a bite to eat and take your seat in the classroom once again.  Dive in with new and veteran faculty to expand your horizons on a variety of topics. 

Space is limited – please select your course offering at 10:00am.
  • Woodshop.  Instructor: Rex Brodie - This hands-on course will take you back 125 years to our historical roots as "makers"!  This course takes place in our spacious new Woodshop where you will get to use a laser woodcutter and you will get to take home a one of a kind memento.   
  • Chemistry in Action.  Instructor: Jason Dyke  - This course takes place in one of our state of the art science labs.  Ponder what rockets, rust, and electronics have in common.  Fire will be involved.  
  • Outdoor Projects and Nature Hike. Instructor(s): Terry Harmon and Liz Spector - Over the years, many US students have participated in outdoor projects and maple sugaring.  Take a tour of the campus with our renowned instructors.  Highlights will include the Sugar House and Trout Hatchery.  
  • Ethics in Business – a sample lesson from Microeconomics. Instructor: Greg Malkin - Our Director of the US Leadership Center and Entrepreneur Institue will lead this fantastic course.  Class participants will also learn about current programs offered to students.

11:00 AM - Noon |  Meet the New Headmaster

Headmaster Rick Bryan '70 and Trustees will conduct an open forum on the school as it exists today and plans for the future.

– 3:00 PM – Picnic, Softball and Outdoor Family Fun – Smythe Pavilion
Enjoy grilled burgers, hot dogs and cold beverages with your classmates. Activities for all family members including an alumni softball game led by Jim Abbott ‘87, corn hole, fishing (bring your rod) and treasure hunting for the kids on our gorgeous campus.
