Celebration of Youth Entrepreneurship

Featuring keynote speaker Graham Veysey '00, & the Young Entrepreneur Market  TICKETS
Join us for the 11th annual Celebration of Youth Entrepreneurship at University School. This year's featured speaker is Graham Veysey, serial entrepreneur and US class of 2000. Following the keynote will be an opportunity to purchase creations from University School middle school students and other students from across Northeast Ohio at the Young Entrepreneur Market.

As Principal at North Water Partners, Hingetown Developer, and Head Wine Guy at MANCAN Wine, Graham Veysey will discuss the entrepreneurial mindset and his own exciting and fast-paced entrepreneurial journey. A 2000 US alumnus, Graham received his bachelor’s degree from Bates College and worked as Director of Marketing and Communications at Nantucket Nectars and Plum TV for four years before becoming an entrepreneur.

Nine years ago, Graham started North Water Partners, an Emmy Award-winning video production firm, but he didn’t stop there. With a strong interest in his hometown of Cleveland, he saw an opportunity to develop an area north of Ohio City, subsequently named Hingetown. He initially brought in Rising Star and Urban Orchid, and other businesses soon followed, creating a vibrant urban neighborhood. Then in 2015, he and a childhood friend started MANCAN, which offers good, reasonably priced wine in the convenience of a can.

Graham is also actively engaged in the region’s civic life. He is involved in urban farming through Green City on a Blue Lake, serves on Cleveland Public Theatre and several other boards, was a 2016 Presidential Leadership Scholar, and in 2012 ran for but did not win a U.S. congressional seat.

Celebrate Youth Entrepreneurship is presented by University School’s Young Entrepreneur Institute and is made possible through the generous support of Burton D. Morgan Foundation. This April 10th presentation is free, but online registration is requested.
