Middle Schoolers Compete in 2021 Spelling Bee
12 US middle schoolers competed both in-person and virtually in the annual US Middle School Spelling Bee! After 11 exciting rounds, Nicky DiTirro '25 advanced to the championship round, where he spelled "chauffeurs" correctly to win the title! Jay Kwon '27 competed fiercely to come in a close second place.
This is the second year that Nicky has won this competition, having placed first in 2019 as a sixth-grader. Nicky will represent US at the brand new virtual Ohio Bee this spring. Congratulations to all and best wishes to Nicky as he moves forward in the competition!
