Karson is among approximately 625 semifinalists who have been selected from a pool of nearly 6,500 candidates. The Commission's choices for 2021 U.S. Presidential Scholars will be announced in mid-May.
The U.S. Presidential Scholars Program recognizes students for their accomplishments in academic success, leadership, and service to school and community. Each year, up to 161 students are named as Presidential Scholars, one of the nation's highest honors for high school students.
