3 Seniors Receive National Recognition for Academics

Seniors Javan Cobb, Anthony DeCarlo, and Noah Snipes-Rea were selected as College Board National Recognition Program Scholars. The College Board National Recognition Programs create pathways to college for underrepresented students by awarding them academic honors and connecting them with universities across the country.

Our scholars are among the 32,000 students from across the country who were eligible for this honor by having excelled on their PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10, or AP Exams, earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher, and are African American or Black, Hispanic American or Latinx, or Indigenous.

Founded in 1900, the College Board was created to expand access to higher education. Its purpose is to help students prepare for a successful transition to college through programs and services in college readiness and college success.
