Students Help Afghan Refugees

Kabir Gulati '22 was compelled to help Afghan refugees that were relocating to Ohio in the middle of winter. He has a history of community service with a global perspective, having started the non-profit YouthUp during an entrepreneurial internship at the Cleveland Clinic.

Kabir's philosophy on his service projects is embodied in the African proverb, 'If you want to go quickly, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.' So he soon had the help of his friends Javan Cobb '22 and Aetan Parmar '22 in this endeavor.

The team was featured in this story on Newschannel 5. Their drive collected over $30,000 worth of essential items for Afghan refugees in Ohio.
