Sophomore Presents Research at National Symposium

Justice Arai '24 traveled to the 60th Annual National Junior Science and Humanities Symposium (JSHS) in Albuquerque, New Mexico in April to present his research. He investigated developing quieter propellers using a fringed trailing edge like that of an owl's wing.

The National JSHS brings together 245 high school students who qualify by submitting and presenting original scientific research papers in regional symposiums held at universities nationwide. Approximately 130 high school teachers, mentors, university faculty, military personnel, and others also attend and join in and encourage the future generation of scientists and engineers and celebrate student achievement in the sciences.
