Malkin Receives National Educator Award

Congratulations to US teacher Greg Malkin! Malkin received the Entrepreneurship Educator Award, a national award that recognizes educators who teach entrepreneurship in creative and effective ways. The award was presented by the National Federation of Independent Business Young Entrepreneur Foundation, and includes a $5,000 grant for educational resources.

"This award honors not only me but the outstanding work of our entire team at Young Entrepreneur Institute,” said Malkin. "We are passionate about our mission - every child should understand and experience entrepreneurship. I am thrilled to be recognized by NFIB for the impact we are having on the schools, teachers, and kids in Northeast Ohio."

Malkin joined US in 2005 and is Director of the Leadership Center, Director of the Young Entrepreneur Institute, and Simpson Chairholder. He oversees strong entrepreneurship programs at both of the US campuses through the Young Entrepreneur Institute, a program Malkin started at US that has since expanded throughout the region.

Malkin has over 30 years of experience in business and entrepreneurship. The business he founded out of college, Technical Software, Inc., grew to $3 million before he sold it in 2000. He has been executive vice president of Imaginit Technologies and donated his talents to Junior Achievement and ECity.
