US Receives Outstanding School Award

University School received the Harold C. Shaw Memorial Outstanding School Award from the Ohio Academy of Science over the weekend. The award is given in recognition of a school with multiple students earning a superior rating at the State Science Day. 

US upper school students Bryan Rego ’19, Maheep Brar ’19, Graden Snyder ’19, Tyler Fertel ’19, Michael Castellanos ’19, Uzo Ahn ’18, and Ashwin Veeramani ’18, competed at the State Science Day which was hosted by the Ohio Academy of Science. Each year State Science Day brings over 1,000 of the best and brightest student scientists in Ohio to The Ohio State University to compete for close to 100 sponsored scholarships and awards. 

These boys had to compete and earn a superior ranking at local and district Science Days to earn an invite to present at State Science Day.
