Senior Finalist in National Oration Contest

Isaiah Paik '18 won second place in the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution Historical Oration Contest in July in Knoxville, Tennessee.

As the winner of the regional and state competition, Isaiah represented the state of Ohio against 19 other state champions at the annual competition. Contestants had to write, memorize and deliver an original five- to six-minute speech about some aspect of the American Revolution before a panel of anonymous judges at the NSSAR convention.

Isaiah was chosen one of six finalists and eventually won the second-place silver medal and a $3,000 scholarship.
