5 Win Governor's Art Awards

Five US student artworks were named 2018 State of Ohio Governor's Award winners, including Jack Sazima '18 who received the TOP 25 in the State award for his photograph Construct. There were 300 works of art selected as state winners from over 3,000 regional winners across the state in this prestigious competition. The winners' art will be featured in an exhibition in Columbus.

Jack also received a state award for his photograph Red and Gold. Other state winners are: Marty Ellis '20 for his drawing A$AP, Charlie Grooff '20 for his photograph Pine, and Jack Rogen '20 for his photograph Go On With Pride.

US had a total of eight US students' artworks advance to the state competition as finalists. Finalists included: Trevor Moyer '18 for his digital art Picture Day, Akash Salgia '18 for his photograph Native Soul, and Will Zhang '18 for his photograph Liquid Metal, Concentricity, Deflection.
