Basketball Camp

What better way to spend a week during your summer than playing one of the greatest games ever invented?! Join us for a full week of basketball camp at University School, and enjoy skill-building activities and competitive play designed to help you learn to play the game of basketball "Hard, Smart and Together."

Skills emphasized will include footwork, ball handling, shooting, rebounding, and defense. Campers will learn drills that can be used over and over again, whether in the backyard or in the school gym. Conditioning lessons will be introduced that will benefit all boys, regardless of skill level. Two-thirds of the camp will consist of drills and skill development and one-third will be devoted to organized game play.

Campers will participate in theme days to make the experience memorable (i.e., "Jersey Day" when campers will wear their favorite basketball jerseys and "All-Star Day" when campers will compete in three-point shooting contests and skills challenges, etc.). Campers will also have a chance to receive certificates and awards at the end of the week for outstanding participation.

University School varsity coach Sean McDonnell will direct this exciting camp.

Campers bring their own bagged lunch and drinks. Coolers will be provided.
