A commitment to faculty

Teaching at US is, at its core, built on relationships. Our teachers make connections with their students that extend beyond the classroom. With opportunities to mentor boys through a tough stage in life, or challenge them on the athletic field, we have witnessed countless teachers make lifelong relationships that transcend the traditional model of a teacher-student association.

US is committed to finding outstanding faculty and supporting them. This is evident in our just completed $100 million campaign for University School, in which supporting faculty was a main initiative. We are setting the standard for faculty compensation and our faculty has engaging opportunities for both professional and personal growth. From experiences in Cambodia to training with the most cutting-edge technology, US teachers are sometimes learning as much as their students.

While teaching at US, you are surrounded by remarkable colleagues. Authors, artists, scientists, entrepreneurs, and the like, US teachers practice what they preach. It is no exaggeration to say that our faculty members are one of the most accomplished, driven, innovative, and fun group of professionals you could be around.
