  • Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship

    The Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship provides $40,000 and a paid engineering internship at Amazon. Please spread the word about this double-stacked opportunity to your network and any students who may benefit.
     
    To apply, students must:
    • Be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Employment Authorized to work in the United States.
    • Be a high school senior in the U.S. who is currently enrolled in or who has completed a high school or college dual degree course where computer science, engineering, or robotics is the subject. Students who have not taken this course can opt-in to take an assessment offered by Amazon.
    • Be planning to attain a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, robotics, or other computer science-related field of study from an accredited 4-year college or from a 2-year college with the intent to transfer to a 4-year college.
    • Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.3 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).
    • Demonstrate financial need.

  • University Hospitals Youth Engaged in Cancer Research

     
    The Youth Engaged in Cancer Research Program provides high school students from Cleveland area high schools with a unique opportunity to engage in medical research projects under the direction of Cancer Center faculty.

    Students are selected for participation in this exciting program based on their interest in science, their scholastic achievement, and letters of recommendation submitted by their high school science teachers and school counselors.

  • ASM Materials Education Foundation

    ASM International was founded in 1913 as the American Society for Metals. Today, ASM is the world's largest association of metals-centric materials scientists and engineers with over 30,000 members worldwide. ASM is dedicated to informing, educating, and connecting the materials community to solve problems and stimulate innovation around the world.

    ASM Materials Camp excites and engages young, aspiring minds. Camps are offered at no cost to attendees thanks to the generous contributions to ASM Materials Education Foundation. Our student camp volunteers take great pride in influencing the next generation of engineers and scientists. 
    • Materials Camp utilizes hands-on learning principles of applied math and science; a truly unique, team-based problem-solving experience that explores materials science and engineering principles.
    • For high school juniors and seniors who exhibit strong abilities in math and science. 
    • Camps may be residential (requiring students to stay overnight at the camp), commuter (drive up), or mini-camps (one day or less).

  • Cleveland Museum of Natural History, Astronomy & Cosmology Camp

    This 1-week summer program is open to current 9-12 graders and is designed to explore the origin and nature of our Universe through hands-on data collection and analysis.

  • Ohio State University's Stone Lab Summer Courses

    Several 1-week classes provide invaluable hands-on experience in the field living on a Lake Erie island, all while studying aquatic biology, oceanography, birds, plants, insects or even sport fishing. College credits may be available.
