Greg Aten joined University School as the Head Tennis Coach in 2007. A certified (P1) instructor by the United States Professional Tennis Association, Mr. Aten is also Director of Tennis at the Chagrin Valley Athletic Club. He has served as Varsity Tennis Coach at Kenston High School. He was named Tennis Coach of the Year in 2006 and 2007 by the Chagrin Valley Conference and was chosen as the Tennis Coach of the Year in 2004 by the Western Reserve Conference and The News Herald. Mr. Aten earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Akron where he was captain of the tennis team. “I love teaching and coaching tennis,” he said. “It’s great to be around kids and making the sport fun and interesting for them.”
