Grades 9-12 Process

Available space in the school is limited. We recommend that interested families call as early as possible in the preceding academic year to begin the admission process. If this is your first contact with University School, please complete the online inquiry form.

The following steps are part of the application process. You can login to your MYUS account to start your admission journey!
  • Evaluation forms:
    Evaluation forms are an integral part of the admission process. During the application process, you can easily add teacher contact information which will allow teachers to directly submit the necessary information.

  • Personal Recommendation
    Please request a personal recommendation letter from someone who knows your son well and has worked with him in a group setting (sports team, youth group, etc.). We ask that this person be a non-family member. The letter can be mailed or emailed to the admission office.

  • Student Visit/Virtual Zoom Meeting
    Students will either participate in a zoom meeting with the Director of Admission and current US students or (if available) student will spend a day with a US student. During the day, students will experience classes, meet teachers and coaches, and enjoy a day at US.

  • School and Transcript Request Form:
    Please fill out the "Authorization for Release of Records" portion of the "School Report Form" and submit it to your son’s school. His school will complete the form and mail it directly to University School. 

  • Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) offered at University School:

The Financial Aid Office at University School aligns with the mission of the school. We hope to provide students an opportunity for an amazing educational experience that may otherwise not be obtainable. Our goal is that no worthy, mission appropriate student be deterred due to financial limitations.
