University School will host a 17-day trip to China. This travel program explores numerous scenic spots in Beijing, Xi'an and Yunnan province of China. Students will delve into authentic cultural activities and have the opportunity to get to know the local traditions.

Experience the contrasts of village and city life on this trip to Shaxi, Yunnan, and Beijing. Explore the traditions of rural China, visit Tiger Leaping Gorge, and barter in the beautiful markets. Learn to make dumplings and try the diversity of local foods that China has to offer. See Chinese history first-hand along with modern marvels in this introductory program to mainland China. Get deeply immersed in Xi’an local life by staying with Chinese host families from the University School’s sister school. Explore the imperial capital for ten ancient imperial dynasties and several regional kingdoms of ancient China. Savor authentic Chinese food, connect with Chinese high schoolers, and build a cross-cultural bridge!
