Food Service Associate - Shaker Heights Campus
University School is seeking a qualified candidate for a Food Service Associate who will be responsible for a variety of duties within Food Service including food preparation, opening and closing of the kitchen and operating the dishwasher.
Major responsibilities include: measure and assemble ingredients for the menu items; perform opening and closing kitchen for example, ensure the food prep areas are cleaned and sanitized; be able to read and follow standard recipes; operate the dishwasher and assist with washing dishes and pots and pans; pack to-go meals for classrooms and meetings.
Candidates must be able to work as a team player in a busy work setting; work in a fast-paced kitchen and dining room environment; demonstrate and practice knowledge of proper food handling; practice proper food sanitation techniques in both the kitchen and dining room; and communicate appropriately with co-workers, faculty and staff and well as students, parents, and vendors.
The scheduled hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Must also have the ability to travel to the Hunting Valley campus when needed. Some evenings and weekends may be required.
