The Morgan Apprenticeship Program is a unique, hands-on summer opportunity that pairs Upper School students with local entrepreneur mentors. In addition to shadowing entrepreneurs to observe the real-life experiences of business owners, students are assigned strategic projects. The Apprenticeship gives high school students valuable experience and knowledge about potential careers.

The Young Entrepreneur Camp 2019 for Middle School Students
Session I
The Young Entrepreneur Camp is geared to students with a high level of interest in entrepreneurship who will be entering grades 7-9 in 2019. Through fun games, activities, group projects, and a business simulation program, campers will learn business and marketing strategy, teamwork, and essential problem solving and leadership skills. Successful entrepreneur guest speakers will share their knowledge of starting and growing their businesses. The camp will include a field trip to a local business to see first-hand how the company operates. Students will also develop ideas for businesses that they can start and on the final day pitch their ideas in a competition for an opportunity to win cash prizes or start-up loans (for students also participating in Session II) for their businesses. Every day is filled with interesting and challenging activities to help students learn the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and create a start-up business.
Session II
Session II of the Young Entrepreneur Camp is for Session I participants who have an interest in further developing their business ideas and actually taking their products or services to market. Students will learn about pricing, gross profit, and important financial terms. They will develop marketing materials for their businesses, and learn effective sales and negotiation techniques, in preparation for opening their businesses at a local venue towards the end of the week. Session II programming, in partnership with the Young Entrepreneur Institute, will help students further develop their leadership skills and learn financial independence as they launch actual businesses of their choosing and participate in real-world market experiences.
