Middle School musicians Lucas Beatty ’31 (alto saxophone), Ciarán McAvinchey ’30 (trumpet), and Noah Miyasaka ’30 (trumpet) were selected for the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) District 7 Middle School Honor Band. The boys spent the day at Mentor High School playing alongside students from Geauga, Lake, and eastern Cuyahoga counties. The group performed a public evening concert with the Honor Band in February.
In January, Upper School musicians competed in the Ohio Music Education Association Regional Solo & Ensemble Contest, each earning one of the two highest ratings. During a later assembly, the musicians each received a certificate and an OMEA Medal of Honor.
