Jackson Polish named GLHL Player of the Week

Jackson Polish was named the Great Lakes Hockey League Player of the Week for the period ending January 22 after he led the Preppers to a 4-2 win over Saint Ignatius, snapping the Wildcats' 36-game unbeaten streak inside the GLHL and bumping US up to #3 in the state rankings. Polish held Saint Ignatius at bay with 35 saves, allowing just one of 17 shots to get past him in the third period, and preserving the lead.

Polish has a record of 5-2-0 in league play. He leads the GLHL with a .932 save percent-age and ranks in the top five with a 1.86 goals-against average. "Jackson's concentration and goaltending has been great all year," said University School head Coach Andre Lacroix. "But he was very special against Saint Ignatius."
