18 upper and middle school students traveled to Morocco, North Africa, gaining first-hand insight into topics such as Islam, immigration, discrimination, and poverty. They examined the impacts of gender, religion, history (colonialism, post-colonialism), climate, geography, and ecology on culture and equality. Finally, they studied Morocco’s progress on the United Nations Goals for Sustainable Development.
The students were accompanied by Middle School Director Lindsay Arnoult and Jr. K to 8 Foreign Language Department Chair Michael Khoury who designed the trip to stimulate students' curiosity and deepen their understanding of global issues. PHOTO GALLERY
