Middle School Spelling Bee Champs
After several months of intense studying, eight middle schoolers competed against each other in the 2020 US Middle School Spelling Bee! The Bee lasted an unprecedented 34 rounds, with Charles Gilson '26 spelling "distal" to become the champion and Andrew Malbasa '26 coming in a close second place!
Since both first- and second-place winners are sixth graders, third-place finisher and eighth-grader Justice Arai '24 will represent US at the Cuyahoga County Bee on March 7.
Congratulations to all and best wishes to Justice as he moves forward in the competition!
