National Speech and Debate Qualifiers
The Speech and Debate Team competed at the North Coast District national qualifying tournament adding four more qualifiers at the state or national level.
Sai Karnati '20 was named to the North Coast District World Schools team that will compete at the national tournament.
Dev Peyrat '22 qualified for the national tournament in Lincoln Douglas debate. He also qualified to compete at the City Club High School Debate Championship which will be held on March 13. He joins Nehal Chigurupati '20 who auto-qualified by finishing second at last year's national tournament.
Nathan Mu '22 and Brady Condon '21 advanced to the final round in international extemporaneous speech. Nathan finished sixth to qualify for the state tournament. Brady finished second to qualify for the national tournament. He is the first US student to do so in extemporaneous speech in the last 10 years!
