Although an historical departure from previous ceremonies, we were pleased to be able to celebrate the Class of 2020 with a live-streamed ceremony and individual on-campus diploma distribution over two days this past weekend. After a welcome by Head of School Patrick Gallagher, Jack Borrow '20 and Tate Flack '20 gave their reflections about their years at US, followed by speaker Rick Banks '83, Stanford University Professor of Law and US trustee, who gave the commencement address.
The ceremony concluded with the awarding of prizes and diplomas. Graduation awards were presented to Jack Borrow, who received the Aurelian and Staples awards; Charlie Brennan, who received the Potts Award; Noah Brock, who received the Cadmean Award; and Ethan Weber, who received the Alumni Medal. In place of congratulatory handshakes, each graduate had an opportunity to begin a new tradition of ringing the US bell, a gift from the Class of 2020. PHOTO GALLERY
