Students Engage in Summer Science Research

The pandemic couldn’t stop our students this summer! Ian Swain '21, Johnathan Jang '21, Toussaint Miller '21, Josh Bickerstaff '21, Che Jarvis '21, Nathan Mu '22, and Javan Cobb '22 participated in the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine's Scientific Enrichment & Opportunity and Youth Engaged in Science programs. Students worked remotely alongside researchers and graduate students to research new topics, develop new projects, and dive into new data sets!

All students completing the program participated in a virtual symposium to share their research with the broader community. Ian Swain and Nathan Mu and were awarded The Mark Smith Prize, given for clearly presented and impactful research.
