Junior Receives Thomas Alva Edison Award

Five upper school Anderson Scholars and Strnad Fellows were invited to compete at the 58th Annual Ohio Junior Science and Humanities Symposium! 

Carl Cort '22 received the Thomas Alva Edison Award for his research, "Investigating Magnetically Deflected Ballistic MassTechnology: Designing and Testing an Electronic Controls for Levitation of Electromagnets." This award is given to a student who designs or engineers a device to test a hypothesis or create a solution to a larger engineering goal. Carl worked with his mentors Mr. Ken Applebaum ‘86, founder and CEO of COTSWORKS, and Strnad Advisor Dr. Paul Moody.
