Mrs. Worthington was honored with the 2023 Midwestern Association of Graduate Schools (MAGS) Excellence in Teaching Award on March 29.
This annual award is given to one doctoral student and one master’s student, nominated by over 140 graduate schools, to recognize the importance of excellence in teaching and mentoring as a component of graduate education.
Mrs. Worthington earned her M.A. in English with a specialization in Renaissance literature from John Carroll University in the spring of 2022. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant there, she served as a Writing Consultant for the University’s Writing Center and taught “Introduction to Academic Writing”—an undergraduate course that teaches the fundamentals of scholarly writing and research across disciplines.
