Author Shares "Thrivers" Insight

University School welcomed Michele Borba, author of Thrivers: The Surprising Reasons Why Some Kids Struggle and Others Shine, for the 8th Annual Dr. Ethan D. Schafer Memorial Lecture on May 1.

This community event was presented by The Center for the Education of Boys at University School with the USPA.

A dynamic speaker, Dr. Borba shared her work in the presentation: "Thrivers: Parenting Tips and Tools to Help Kids Thrive in An Uncertain World." In this thought-provoking session, she shared seven traits that science shows matter most in happiness and success to help kids thrive both now and in the future.

Dr. Borba is a former classroom and special education teacher, an award-winning author, and a leading contributor to the national dialogue on childhood development and character education. Learn more about Dr. Borba on her website.
