In March, thirteen students journeyed to South Africa and Eswatini to explore the legacy of colonialism and experience the richness of local cultures firsthand.
From Cape Town to Durban, Eswatini, Kruger National Park, Pretoria, Johannesburg, and Soweto, each stop offered unique perspectives on history, identity, and place. Highlights included visiting the Apartheid Museum, Nelson Mandela’s home, and going on safari through Kruger National Park. The experience blended academic inquiry with cultural immersion, leaving a lasting impact on all who participated.
