Over spring break, twelve students, along with Director of Community and Global Programs Michael Khoury and Spanish Teacher Alondra Pacheco, traveled across India on the “Incredible India: Where History Meets Humanity” experience. Traveling through Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Varanasi, and Mumbai, students explored India’s rich history, cultural traditions, religious diversity, and modern identity. Highlights included visiting the Taj Mahal, exploring Jaipur’s historic forts and markets, experiencing spiritual life along the Ganges River, meeting in Delhi with entrepreneur Utkarsh Singh of BatX Energies, and in Mumbai, examining how India has evolved from its colonial past into a global economic and technology leader in the 21st century.
The experience blended academic inquiry with cultural immersion and sparked meaningful conversations about colonialism, history, identity, globalization, sustainability, entrepreneurship, and cross-cultural understanding. The journey left a lasting impact on all who participated.
