The 2023 Political Awareness Essay program featured speaker Commander Christopher M. Lepore, US Naval Attaché to Greece, and the awarding of the contest's prizes for clear and logical thinking about political issues.

Bradley Wiandt '23 received first place for "America's Forgotten Colony: Puerto Rico and the Urgent Need for Statehood,"
Sachin Singh '23 received second place for "The Role of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) in the Mass Incarceration of African Americans,"
Will Garceau '23 received third place for "Forced Electrification is Fool's Gold: Why Gas Vehicle Sales Bans Will Fail to Stop Climate Change."

Honorable mention recipients were Theo Moll '23, Braedon Olsen '23, and Nick Wojnar '23.
