We are thrilled to have students back on campus and to welcome new students, faculty, and staff to our US community!
This year, US also has the great pleasure and privilege to welcome a tall, sturdy, and strikingly handsome addition to our Shaker Campus community… our renovated and expanded Middle School building, Matson Hall!
On the first day of school, Mrs. Arnoult, Director of the Middle School, and her fellow faculty and staff members were so excited to see our boys' first reactions to their new school home.
Head of School Patrick Gallagher shared thoughts and questions focused on our shared value of loyalty at opening assemblies at both campuses. At the Shaker Campus, he shared the story The Day the Crayons Quit by Drew Daywalt with our boys. In the spirit of the story, Mr. Gallagher asked that they listen to one another, appreciate everyone’s talents and strengths, and recognize all our school community can be thanks to contributions of all.
At the Hunting Valley Campus, he asked students to reflect on what loyalty means to them today and what it might mean for them in the future. Mr. Gallagher talked about the strong connection US alumni have with one another, even when they are meeting for the first time.
We wish all our students, families, faculty, and staff a wonderful and rewarding 2025-26 school year!
